HOW IS BEYOUTIFUL POSSIBILITIES DIFFERENT FROM OTHER RETREATS?
BeYOUtiful Possibilities is two things at once.
1. BeYOUtiful Possibilities is unique because it combines a spiritual journey retreat with an examination of your life and offers real workable solutions for chronic relationship issues and feelings of worthlessness.
2. It is a healing retreat that leads people to a deep knowing that they are a precious child of God worthy of Love, Dignity and Respect. They encounter God the Creator as Love and have a deep healing experience through the sacrificial love of Christ’s Passion. This occurs during the program section called His Passion for Your Life. This is where the healing happens.
3. It is also a workshop that explores a person’s relationships with self and others. We do a deep dive into love of self and teach you how to create healthy relationships that are mutually loving, dignified and respectful. You will learn how to live life as the precious child of God that you are!
4. Many people are moving through life with deep wounds that they don’t want to think about, much less talk about. Most people are unaware that these injuries and pain serve as the foundation of our chaos and are the main source of our undesirable current situations. This retreat will help you to see how and why those injuries are wreaking havoc in your daily life. We will NOT explore the sources of your pain as a group – this is private and personal, and we encourage professional counseling for this. You will instead be led to lasting life-changing solutions to the parts of your life that are painful and undesirable to you. (We are not professional counselors and do not offer counseling services)
5. This is NOT a sharing retreat, although you are free to do so as you desire, you will not be called on to do so.
6. You will embark on a personal healing journey with the Blessed Trinity
7. You will examine your current situation and create a written plan for the beYOUtiful life that awaits your arrival.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT AT THE RETREAT?
We offer several types of retreats:
1. COMMUTER RETREATS are held in Breaux Bridge and are offered at the greatly reduced cost of $143 and include all materials and meals. Retreatants come and go each day.
2. OVERNIGHT RETREATS are held at various venues and retreat houses, and the price varies depending on the venue costs, but most retreats average between $350 and $600. The price includes overnight accommodation, meals, and all retreat materials.
– The format follows the commuter retreat segments with added evening experiences.
3. DAY RETREATS are held in Lafayette and follow the same segments as the Commuter Retreat schedule but are broken into six, three-hour segments spanning several weeks or days. Some are held during the day; others are held in the evening. The cost is $143 and includes all retreat materials, meals are not included.
4. SPECIAL GROUP RETREATS we will work with existing groups such as prayer groups or bible study groups who want to continue their journey together – contact us directly to make arrangements.
5. ADVANCED WORKSHOP/RETREATS are offered at various times for previous retreatments. We do a deep dive into some of the topics explored at the initial retreat. As people begin to transform their lives, they find that they need support and a greater skill set that supports the changes they are making. There are six advanced sessions that enlighten and support you on your journey as you discard the darkness and embrace the light and love as a way of life.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER THE RETREAT
Retreatants report that they leave with hope, purpose and love that is deeply connected to God our Father, Jesus our Savior and the Holy Spirit our paraclete, not other humans. They say they are no longer defined by what has been done to them or what they have done, as mercy and forgiveness are major themes that are threaded throughout the experience.
When we asked people, “What would you say to a person considering attending the BeYOUtiful Possibilities Retreat?” the number one recurring statement/sentiment is, “It is Life-Changing! You should definitely attend!”
After every retreat we have 1-3 attendees that tell us they felt hopeless and were considering suicide and chose attending our retreat as a last resort. After the retreat, they no longer knew why they ever considered suicide. (we are not a suicide prevention organization, we are only reporting what some past retreatants have shared with us directly.
